        FAQ

What is the water cap and service plug used for?

The water cap and service plug are used to block water flow for when you need to do maintenance on the pump.

Can I retrofit an SFX Filtration System on a three-hole liner?

No, you cannot. The holes in a three-hole liner aren’t big enough to fit a SFX filtration system.

Why is water leaking from the skimmer canister?

First, check to make sure that all fittings and hoses are secure. If no water is coming from those, then the leak is likely coming from a loose fitting or a gasket or O-ring that has gone bad. Most of these can be changed pretty easily, but if your pump is under warranty, reach out to our Customer Service team first since opening up a pump may invalidate your warranty.

My RP or RX Pump is not moving water; what can I do about this?

When a pump is not moving water, it’s usually because there is a blockage, a dirty pool filter, or too much air in the system. Best thing to do is to turn off your pump to check and clean both the filter and the hoses. If you need to remove the hoses to clean them, you will need to drain your pool until the water level is low enough for you to disconnect the hoses. When you’re reassembling the system, make sure everything is tight to prevent air from getting in the system.

What is the difference between the SFX and your other filtration systems?

The Funsicle SFX system has the pump built into a skimmer that attaches to the pool. Our other systems are just the pump, without the skimmer.

How do I set up an SFX filtration system?

Attach the skimmer to the larger opening on the pool. Once it’s secure, install the return fitting and hose. Make sure all gaskets and seals are tight and secure. You can then fill your pool. Next, plug in and turn on your pump, then check the chemical levels in the pool. If everything looks good, you’re good to go.
